- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
- Identify Parts: Match all components with the parts list in the manual.
- Assemble Frame: Begin by assembling the main frame sections, ensuring all bolts are finger-tightened initially.
- Install Slats: Securely attach the mattress support slats to both the upper and lower bunk frames.

Operating Instructions
Using as a Bunk Bed
- Place appropriate size mattresses on both the upper and lower bunks.
- Ensure the ladder is securely attached and stable before use.
- Children using the top bunk should always use the ladder for access and exit.
- Do not allow jumping on either bunk.
Using as Two Separate Twin Beds
The Elodie bunk bed can be separated into two independent twin beds. To do this, carefully disassemble the bunk bed structure according to the reverse of the assembly instructions. Ensure all connecting hardware is removed and stored safely. Each twin bed will then function as a standalone bed frame.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the metal frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that may damage the finish.
- Hardware Check: Periodically inspect all bolts, screws, and connections to ensure they remain tight. Retighten as necessary to maintain stability and safety.
- Slat Inspection: Check mattress support slats for any signs of damage or bending. Replace any damaged slats immediately.
- Moving the Bed: When moving the bed, lift it rather than dragging it to prevent damage to the frame or floor.
Troubleshooting
- Bed feels wobbly or unstable:
- Ensure all bolts and screws are fully tightened. Over time, hardware can loosen, requiring periodic retightening. Verify that all parts are correctly assembled according to the manual.
- Squeaking noises:
- Squeaking can often be resolved by tightening all hardware. If squeaking persists, disassemble and reassemble the affected section, ensuring all connections are flush and tight. A small amount of lubricant on metal-to-metal contact points (away from sleeping surfaces) may also help.
- Difficulty with assembly:
- Refer to the detailed installation manual (PDF link provided in Package Contents section). Ensure you are following each step precisely and that parts are oriented correctly. Some steps may require two people for easier alignment and tightening.
