4. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the correct functioning of the Micro RX regulator. Follow these steps carefully:

1. Mounting the Unit: Use the provided wall mounting kit to securely attach the Micro RX unit to a vertical surface near your pool's filtration system. Ensure it is protected from direct sunlight and excessive moisture.
2. Installing the Probe: Install the Rx probe into the probe holder. The probe holder should be installed in the pool's circulation line, typically after the filter and heater, but before any chemical injection points. Ensure the probe is always submerged in water when the system is running.
3. Connecting Tubes:
   • Connect the suction tube from the chemical container (e.g., liquid chlorine) to the suction strainer, then to the inlet of the peristaltic pump.
   • Connect the discharge tube from the pump outlet to the injection valve. The injection valve should be installed into the pool's return line using the provided support collars.
4. Electrical Connection: Connect the Micro RX unit to a 230V power supply. Ensure the connection is secure and protected from water.

5. Operating Instructions

The Micro RX regulator is designed for user-friendly operation. Follow these steps to set up and maintain your desired chlorine (Redox) levels.

5.1 Power On and Display

Once connected to power, the LED display will illuminate, showing the current Redox potential in mV. The unit will automatically begin monitoring the water.

5.2 Calibration

Regular calibration of the Rx probe is essential for accurate readings and effective regulation. Perform calibration:

1. Press the CAL button. The display will enter calibration mode.
2. Follow the on-screen prompts (if any, or refer to specific model instructions for calibration solution values).
3. Immerse the probe in the first calibration solution. Wait for the reading to stabilize, then confirm.
4. Rinse the probe with distilled water.
5. Immerse the probe in the second calibration solution. Wait for the reading to stabilize, then confirm.
6. The unit will save the calibration settings and return to normal operation.

5.3 Setting the Setpoint

The setpoint is the desired Redox value you want to maintain in your pool water.

1. Press the SET button. The display will show the current setpoint value.
2. Use the CAL and SET buttons (or dedicated up/down buttons if available) to adjust the setpoint to your desired value (e.g., 650-750 mV for typical chlorine levels).
3. Press SET again to confirm and save the new setpoint.

The Micro RX will now automatically inject chlorine when the measured Redox level falls below the setpoint, and stop when the setpoint is reached or exceeded.
