Instruction Manual

Product Overview

The Maxxus Sauna is designed to bring the benefits of FAR infrared carbon heating to your home. It utilizes modern technology and energy efficiency to provide beneficial penetrating FAR infrared waves, aiding in toxin removal, improved blood circulation, muscle pain relief, calorie burning, and skin tone improvement. Constructed with reforested Canadian Hemlock wood, the sauna features double-paneled walls for efficient heat retention and faster heating.

  • 9 Maxxus Low EMF FAR Infrared Carbon Heating Panels: Includes 3 on each of the 2 rear walls, 2 under the bench, and 1 on the floorboard.
  • Full 3 Person Capacity: Designed to comfortably accommodate three individuals.
  • Operates Beyond 140°F: Ensures effective therapeutic temperatures.
  • Natural Reforested Canadian Hemlock Wood Construction: Environmentally conscious and durable.
  • 6mm Interior and Exterior Wood Planks: With a 1.13 inch inner frame for superior insulation.
  • Bronze Tinted Tempered Glass Door and Side Windows: Provides visibility and aesthetic appeal.

Setup and Assembly

Assembly of the sauna typically requires two people due to the weight and size of components, particularly the glass panels. The overall fitment is designed to be solid, but minor alignment issues may occur during setup. It is recommended to seal any gaps with silicone to prevent heat escape.

The sauna requires a dedicated 20 amp 120 volt outlet. Please consult a certified electrician for proper installation if your current setup does not meet these requirements.

Operating Instructions

The sauna typically takes 30-45 minutes to heat up to the desired temperature, which can range from 130°F to 150°F. Initial heating may take longer. The unit features a soft-touch control panel with an LED display for easy operation.

Temperature and Timer Control

Use the control panel to set your desired temperature and session duration. The timer can be set for up to 60 minutes. If preheating, you can reset the timer to 60 minutes once you enter the sauna.

Lighting and Audio

The sauna is equipped with interior and exterior lighting. The interior lighting offers alternating color options. To change the interior light color, press and hold the light button on the control panel. To cycle through colors, press the light button. To turn off the light, press the down button. The sauna also includes a built-in FM radio, CD player, and MP3 auxiliary connection with speakers for your entertainment.

Maintenance and Care

To prevent sweat stains on the wooden surfaces, it is highly recommended to place towels on the benches and floor where you will be sitting or resting your feet. Regular wiping of surfaces with a clean, dry cloth is also advised.

To maintain optimal heat retention, inspect all seams and joints for any gaps. If gaps are present, applying a bead of silicone or weatherstripping can significantly improve the sauna's heating efficiency and reduce heat loss.

Troubleshooting

Slow Heating or Inconsistent Temperature

  • Check for Gaps: As mentioned in maintenance, heat can escape through unsealed gaps, especially around the glass door. Sealing these gaps with silicone or weatherstripping can drastically improve heating time and temperature consistency.
  • Ambient Temperature: The ambient temperature of the room where the sauna is located (e.g., a garage) can affect heating time. Colder environments will require longer preheating.
  • Floor Heating Element: Some users have reported issues with the floor heating element not heating up properly, leading to colder feet and affecting overall sauna temperature. If you suspect a defective floor heating element, contact the manufacturer for a potential replacement.
