3.2 Placement
- Base Station: Place the base station indoors on a flat surface or mount it on a wall. Ensure it is away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and strong electromagnetic fields that could interfere with the radio signal.
- Outdoor Transmitter: Mount the outdoor transmitter in a sheltered location, away from direct sunlight and precipitation, to ensure accurate temperature readings and prolong its lifespan. The maximum transmission range is 30 meters (open field). Avoid placing it near large metal objects.

3.3 Initial Synchronization
After inserting batteries and powering on, the base station will automatically search for the outdoor transmitter signal and the DCF 77 radio time signal. This process may take a few minutes. Once connected, the outdoor temperature and the precise time will be displayed.
4. Operating
4.1 Display Overview
The color display shows the following information:
- Time: Radio-controlled time (DCF 77 signal).
- Indoor Temperature: Measured by the internal sensor.
- Outdoor Temperature: Transmitted wirelessly from the outdoor sensor.
- Weather Forecast Icons: Based on barometric pressure changes (Sunny, Partly Cloudy, Cloudy, Rainy, Snowy).
- Air Pressure Trend: An arrow indicating rising, stable, or falling air pressure.
- Alarm Indicator: Shows if the alarm is active.
4.2 Setting Time and Date
The clock automatically synchronizes with the DCF 77 radio signal. If manual setting is required or preferred (e.g., if the radio signal is weak), refer to the detailed instructions in the included paper manual for specific button functions.
4.3 Weather Forecast
The integrated electronic barometer monitors local air pressure. After 24 to 48 hours of continuous operation, the station analyzes air pressure trends to provide a weather forecast for the next 12-24 hours. Rising pressure indicates improving weather, while falling pressure suggests worsening conditions. The forecast is displayed via intuitive weather icons.
4.4 Alarm and Snooze Function
- Setting Alarm: Use the control buttons (refer to the paper manual for specific button layout) to set your desired alarm time.
- Activating Snooze: When the alarm sounds, wave your hand over the infrared sensor (located on the top of the unit) to activate the snooze function. The alarm will sound again after a few minutes.
4.5 Maximum and Minimum Values
The station records and displays the maximum and minimum indoor and outdoor temperatures. Consult the paper manual for instructions on how to view and reset these values.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
Clean the display and casing with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the surface.
5.2 Battery Replacement
Replace batteries in both the base station and the outdoor transmitter when the low battery indicator appears on the display, or if the unit's performance degrades. Always replace all batteries at the same time with new ones of the correct type.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No outdoor temperature reading. | Outdoor transmitter out of range, low batteries, interference. | Relocate transmitter closer to base station. Replace batteries. Avoid sources of interference (e.g., large metal objects, electronics). |
| Incorrect time displayed. | Weak DCF 77 signal, manual setting error. | Relocate base station to a location with better signal reception. Manually set the time if radio signal is consistently poor. |
| Display is dim or blank. | Power adapter not connected, power outage, low batteries. | Ensure AC adapter is securely connected and plugged in. Check power outlet. Replace base station batteries. |
| Weather forecast seems inaccurate. | Insufficient data collected, rapid local weather changes. | Allow 24-48 hours for the barometer to calibrate. Weather forecasts are predictions and may not always be 100% accurate due to localized conditions. |
