Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your Koblenz RM-1715 floor machine:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all parts are present, including the main machine body, handle assembly, and pad driver.
  2. Handle Attachment: Attach the chrome steel handle to the main machine body. Ensure the handle is securely fastened using the provided bolts and nuts. Tighten all connections firmly.

Operating Instructions

Before operating, ensure the machine is properly assembled and the power cord is in good condition.

  1. Power Connection: Plug the 50-foot, 14-gauge, 3-wire grounded power cord into a suitable grounded electrical outlet.
  2. Handle Adjustment: Adjust the handle to a comfortable operating height. The chrome steel handle is designed to minimize operator fatigue.

  3. Starting the Machine: To start, press the safety lock button on the handle, then engage the operating levers. The machine will begin to rotate the pad/brush at 175 RPM.
  4. Operating Technique: Guide the machine across the floor in overlapping passes. The machine's weight and rotation will perform the cleaning action. Avoid applying excessive downward pressure.
  5. Stopping the Machine: Release the operating levers to stop the machine. Unplug the power cord from the outlet when finished or when leaving the machine unattended.

Maintenance
