Setup

Connecting Your Headphones

  1. Locate the detachable cable and the mini XLR connector on the left earcup of the K702 headphones.
  2. Align the cable's connector with the port and gently push until it clicks into place. Ensure a secure connection.
  3. If connecting to a device with a 1/4" (6.35mm) jack, attach the included 1/8" to 1/4" stereo adapter to the cable's 3.5mm plug.
  4. Plug the cable (with or without adapter) into your audio source (e.g., headphone amplifier, audio interface, mixing console).

Initial Use

For optimal performance, it is recommended to use the AKG K702 with a dedicated headphone amplifier, especially with professional audio equipment. While they can be connected directly to some devices, an amplifier will ensure sufficient power and sound quality.

Operating Your AKG K702 Headphones

Wearing the Headphones

The K702 features a self-adjusting headband and comfortable 3D ear pads. Place the headphones on your head, ensuring the ear pads fully encompass your ears for the best sound isolation and comfort. The headband will automatically adjust to your head size.

Volume Control

Volume is controlled via your audio source or amplifier. The K702 headphones do not have integrated volume controls. Always start with a low volume and gradually increase it to a comfortable listening level to prevent hearing damage.

Maintenance and Care

Troubleshooting
