Operating Instructions
1. Selecting Grind Fineness

Image: A detailed view of the Capresso 560Infinity's grind selector dial, showing the range from "Extra Fine" to "Coarse" with numerical settings from 1 to 10. The Capresso logo is prominently displayed above the dial.
The Infinity Grinder offers 16 fineness settings, categorized into Extra Fine, Fine, Regular, and Coarse. Rotate the bean container to align the black dot with your desired fineness setting. Refer to the table below for recommended settings:
| Grind Setting | Brewing Method | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Extra Fine (1-4) | Turkish Coffee, Espresso | Powder-like consistency, suitable for high-pressure brewing. |
| Fine (5-8) | Espresso, Drip Coffee (Cone Filter) | Smooth, flour-like consistency, ideal for espresso machines and cone filters. |
| Regular (9-12) | Drip Coffee (Flat Bottom Filter), Pour-Over | Similar to table salt, suitable for most automatic drip coffee makers. |
| Coarse (13-16) | French Press, Percolator, Cold Brew | Large, distinct particles, best for methods requiring longer extraction times. |
Important: The grinder will only operate when the black dot on the bean container points to one of the fineness settings. Adjust the fineness setting only when the grinder is not operating to prevent damage to the burrs.
2. Setting Grinding Time

Image: The Capresso 560Infinity Conical Burr Grinder, showing a close-up of the timer dial on the front panel. The dial has numerical markings from 0 to 10, representing grinding duration in seconds, allowing users to select their desired grinding time.
Use the timer dial on the front of the grinder to select the desired grinding duration, from 5 to 60 seconds. Rotate the dial clockwise to increase the time. The grinder will automatically stop once the set time has elapsed.
- To stop grinding before the set time, rotate the bean container so the black dot moves outside of the fineness settings.
- To resume grinding if the timer is still running, rotate the bean container back to a fineness setting.
3. Grinding Coffee
Once the fineness and time are set, the grinder will start automatically. The gear reduction motor ensures a slow grinding action (less than 450 rpm) to minimize heat and friction, preserving the coffee's aroma.
The ground coffee will collect in the removable ground coffee container. Ensure the container is properly seated before starting the grinding process.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your grinder. Always unplug the grinder from the power outlet before cleaning.
Daily Cleaning:
- Empty any remaining coffee beans from the bean container.
- Remove the ground coffee container and empty it. Wash with warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry.
- Wipe the exterior of the grinder with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
Deep Cleaning (Weekly/Bi-weekly):

- Remove Bean Container: Ensure the bean container is empty. Rotate it counter-clockwise to unlock and lift it off the grinder base.
- Remove Upper Burr: Grasp the metal handle of the upper conical burr and lift it straight up to remove it from the grinding chamber.
- Clean Burrs and Chamber: Use the included cleaning brush to thoroughly brush off any coffee grounds from both the upper and lower burrs. Also, brush out the grinding chamber.
- Reassemble: Carefully place the upper burr back into the grinding chamber, ensuring it seats correctly. Reattach the bean container by aligning it and rotating clockwise until it locks.
Caution: Do not wash the burrs with water. Water can cause rust and damage the burrs. Use only the cleaning brush or a dry cloth.
