2. Getting Started

2.1. Battery Installation

The Kodak EasyShare C180 uses 2 AA batteries. To install, locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the camera. Open the compartment cover, insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators (+/-), and close the cover securely.

2.2. Memory Card Insertion

The camera supports SD/SDHC memory cards (not included). Locate the memory card slot next to the battery compartment. Insert the SD/SDHC card with the metal contacts facing the front of the camera until it clicks into place. To remove, press the card gently until it pops out.

2.3. Connecting to a Computer

Use the provided USB cable to connect your camera to a computer for transferring photos and videos. Plug the smaller end of the USB cable into the camera's USB port and the larger end into your computer's USB port. The camera will appear as a removable drive on your computer.

3. Operating Your Camera

3.1. Powering On/Off

Press the Power button located on the top of the camera to turn it on. The lens will extend, and the LCD screen will display the live view. Press the Power button again to turn the camera off.

3.2. Taking Photos

With the camera powered on, frame your shot using the 2.4-inch LCD screen. Press the Shutter button halfway down to focus, then press it completely to capture the image. The camera features a 10.2-megapixel sensor and a 3x optical zoom lens for clear and detailed photos.

To record a video, switch the camera to video mode (refer to your camera's specific mode dial or button). Press the Shutter button to start recording and press it again to stop. The camera records continuous VGA video with audio.
