4. Setup and Assembly

5. Operating Instructions

Using your Rowenta IS9100U1 Garment Steamer is simple and efficient:

1. Power On: Plug the steamer into a standard electrical outlet. Press the foot-operated ON/OFF button located on the base of the unit. The indicator light will illuminate.
2. Heat Up: The steamer will begin to heat up. It takes approximately 60 seconds to reach operating temperature. You will hear the water heating and see steam begin to emit from the steam head.
3. Select Steam Output: Use the variable steam control switch on the base to adjust the steam intensity according to the fabric type.
4. Prepare Garment: Hang the garment on the integrated hanger. For best results, gently pull the fabric taut with one hand while steaming with the other.
5. Steam Garment: Hold the steam head a few inches away from the fabric and move it up and down over the wrinkles. For stubborn wrinkles, press the steam head gently against the fabric.
6. Use Attachments: Select and attach the appropriate brush (fabric, upholstery, lint) or crease attachment to the steam head as needed for different fabrics or tasks.
7. Power Off: When finished, press the foot-operated ON/OFF button to turn off the steamer. Unplug the unit from the outlet.

6. Care and Maintenance

• Empty Water Tank: After each use, allow the steamer to cool down completely. Remove the water reservoir and empty any remaining water. This prevents mineral buildup.
