2. Setup and Installation
Proper installation of the CJ688TGBL jack module ensures optimal network performance. Follow these steps for termination and mounting.
2.1 Cable Termination
The jack module supports AWG22-26 solid and stranded cables. The universal termination cap is color-coded for both T568A and T568B wiring schemes, allowing for flexible installation based on your network requirements. The design facilitates easy and speedy installation through mass termination.

4. Maintenance
The CJ688TGBL jack module requires minimal maintenance to ensure continued performance.
- Cleaning: Keep the RJ45 port free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth or compressed air to gently clean the port if necessary.
- Dust Protection: Optional dust caps are available to protect the jack module when not in use, preventing the ingress of dust and foreign objects.
- Security: For enhanced security, optional RJ45 block-out devices can be used to prevent unauthorized access or removal of cables, safeguarding against data security breaches and network downtime.
5. Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with network connectivity through the jack module, consider the following troubleshooting steps:
- Cable Connection: Ensure that the Ethernet cable is securely plugged into both the jack module and the connected device.
- Termination Verification: Confirm that the cable wires are correctly terminated according to either the T568A or T568B wiring scheme on the jack module. Incorrect termination is a common cause of connectivity issues.
- Module Seating: Verify that the jack module is fully and correctly seated in its panel or faceplate.
- Cable Integrity: Test the Ethernet cable itself for any damage or faults.
- Network Equipment: Ensure that all connected network equipment (e.g., switch, router, computer) is functioning correctly.
Each Panduit jack module is 100% tested for Near-End Crosstalk (NEXT) and Return Loss (RL) performance, indicating high manufacturing quality. If issues persist after these checks, professional assistance may be required.
