3. Setup
3.1 Connecting the Converter Box
- Connect Antenna: Connect your outdoor or indoor antenna to the "ANT IN" (RF IN) coaxial input on the back of the DTV102 converter box.
- Connect to TV:
- For standard definition (480i) TVs, connect the RCA (Red/White/Yellow) audio/video cables from the "AUDIO L/R" and "VIDEO OUT" ports on the DTV102 to the corresponding input ports on your television.
- Alternatively, you can use a coaxial cable to connect the "RF OUT" port on the DTV102 to the "ANT IN" (RF IN) port on your television.
- Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the "DC IN" port on the DTV102 and then into a standard electrical outlet.
- Insert Batteries into Remote: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control and insert 2 AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity.
3.2 Initial Channel Scan
- Power on your television and select the correct input source (e.g., AV1, Video, TV/Antenna) that corresponds to the connection made in step 3.1.
- Power on the Coby DTV102 using the power button on the unit or the remote control.
- The first time you power on the unit, it may automatically prompt you to perform a channel scan. If not, press the "MENU" button on the remote, navigate to "Channel Search" or "Auto Scan," and confirm to start the scan.
- The scan process may take several minutes. Do not turn off the unit during the scan. Once complete, the unit will save the found channels.

- Mute: Press the MUTE button on the remote to temporarily silence the audio. Press again to restore.

- Use the arrow buttons to navigate through channels and program listings.
- Press OK or INFO to view detailed information about a selected program.
