Operating Instructions
Water Flow and Temperature Control
The A3914AA faucet features a single metal operating handle for controlling both water flow and temperature. Move the handle left or right to adjust the water temperature from cold to hot. Move the handle up or down to control the water flow intensity. The Multiport Click cartridge ensures smooth and precise control. An integrated warm water temperature regulation and eco-function are designed for efficient use.
Foldable and Swivel Spout
The faucet is equipped with a foldable spout and an automatic diverter. The spout can be swiveled 120 degrees. To switch from bath filling to shower function, simply swivel the spout. When switched to the shower head, the spout can be fully integrated (folded) to provide more space in the bathtub. The spout features a Neoperl aerator for a smooth water stream.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Chrome Finish
To maintain the lustrous chrome finish of your faucet, clean it regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap or a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for chrome. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots. Avoid using abrasive sponges, scouring pads, or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can damage the finish.
Aerator Maintenance
If water flow becomes restricted, the Neoperl aerator may need cleaning. Unscrew the aerator from the end of the spout, clean any debris or mineral deposits, and then reattach it securely.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Low Water Flow | Clogged aerator; partially closed stopcock; low water pressure. | Clean the aerator. Ensure stopcocks are fully open. Check household water pressure. |
| Leaks from Spout | Worn cartridge; loose connections. | Tighten connections. If leak persists, the Multiport Click cartridge may need replacement. Contact a qualified plumber. |
| Water Temperature Issues | Incorrect cartridge setting; water heater issues. | Check the warm water temperature regulation setting on the cartridge. Ensure your water heater is functioning correctly. |
