Setup Instructions

1. Unpacking and Preparation

2. Inflation

Your Intex Pin Stripe Downy Airbed features a built-in manual foot pump for convenient inflation. Alternatively, an external pump (not included) can be used.

Using the Built-in Foot Pump:

  1. Locate the built-in foot pump on the airbed.
  2. Open the cap of the inflation valve.
  3. Place your foot on the pump and press down repeatedly. The airbed will begin to inflate.
  4. Continue pumping until the airbed reaches your desired firmness. Avoid overinflation.
  5. Once inflated, securely close the inflation valve cap to prevent air leakage.

Using an External Pump (Sold Separately):

  1. Locate the main inflation valve on the airbed.
  2. Open the valve cap.
  3. Insert the nozzle of your external air pump into the valve.

2. Deflation

To deflate the airbed:

  1. Open the main inflation valve cap.
  2. Allow the air to escape naturally. For faster deflation, gently roll or press on the airbed to expel air.
  3. Once deflated, fold the airbed neatly for storage.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

To clean your airbed, wipe the flocked surface with a damp cloth and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly with a clean damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the airbed is completely dry before storing.

2. Storage

Store the deflated and dry airbed in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep it away from pests and sharp objects that could puncture the material.

3. Repair

In case of a small puncture, use a repair patch kit (often included or sold separately) to seal the hole. Follow the instructions provided with the patch kit carefully. Ensure the airbed is deflated and dry before applying a patch.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Airbed deflates slowly.Valve not fully closed, small puncture, or natural stretching of material.Ensure valve is securely closed. Check for punctures and repair with a patch kit. Add air as needed; new airbeds may require additional inflation during initial uses due to material stretching.
Difficulty inflating.Valve not fully open, or pump not functioning correctly.Ensure the inflation valve is fully open. If using the foot pump, ensure proper technique. If using an external pump, check its functionality.
Airbed feels too soft/hard.Insufficient or excessive inflation.Adjust air pressure to your preferred firmness. Add or release air as necessary.
