Before First Use

  1. Remove all packing materials, stickers, and plastic bands from the appliance.
  2. Wash the removable non-stick cooking bowl, glass lid, measuring cup, and rice scoop in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the rice cooker base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
  4. Ensure the cooking bowl is properly placed and centered into the rice cooker base for optimal cooking performance.

Operating Instructions

Cooking Rice

  1. Using the provided measuring cup, measure the desired amount of rice. Note: The included measuring cup is not a standard U.S. cup. Always use the provided cup for accurate measurements.
  2. Rinse rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch.
  3. Place the rinsed rice into the non-stick cooking bowl.
  4. Add the appropriate amount of water according to the cooking guide below. For best results, add a small amount of cooking oil or butter to minimize scorching.
  5. Place the cooking bowl into the rice cooker base and cover with the glass lid. Ensure the lid is seated properly.
  6. Plug the rice cooker into a 120V AC electrical outlet. The 'Warm' indicator light will illuminate.
  7. Press the control switch down to the 'Cook' position. The 'Cook' indicator light will illuminate, and cooking will begin.
  8. Once the rice is cooked, the control switch will automatically flip up to the 'Warm' position, and the 'Warm' indicator light will illuminate.
  9. Allow the rice to rest on 'Warm' for 5-10 minutes before serving. This allows the rice to fully absorb moisture and become fluffier.
  10. Unplug the rice cooker when serving is complete or if the 'Keep Warm' function is not desired for extended periods. Leaving rice on 'Warm' for too long (e.g., over 30 minutes) may cause it to scorch or brown at the bottom.
