Setup
1. Charging the Battery
The Olympus FE-20 uses a Lithium-Ion battery. Before initial use, fully charge the battery using the supplied charger. Insert the battery into the charger, then plug the charger into a power outlet. The charging indicator light will show the charging status and turn off when charging is complete.
2. Inserting the Battery and Memory Card
- Open the battery/card compartment cover located on the bottom of the camera.
- Insert the charged Lithium-Ion battery into the battery slot, ensuring correct orientation as indicated inside the compartment.
- Insert an xD-Picture Card (or compatible memory card) into the memory card slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is facing the correct direction.
- Close the compartment cover securely.
Operating the Camera
1. Turning On/Off
Press the POWER button to turn the camera on or off. The lens will extend when powered on.
2. Taking Pictures
- Select Shooting Mode: Use the mode dial or menu to select your desired shooting mode (e.g., Auto, Program, Scene Modes).
