1. Product Overview
The Panasonic ES8103S Arc3 Electric Shaver and Trimmer is designed for a close and comfortable shave. This wet/dry shaver features three ultra-sharp Nanotech blades and a flexible pivoting head to adapt to facial contours. It includes a built-in pop-up trimmer for detailing and operates with a fast, linear motor for consistent power. 2. Safety Information
Please read all safety instructions before using the shaver to prevent injury or damage to the product.
- Do not use near water if the shaver is connected to the charging adapter. Ensure the charging port is dry before connecting the charger.
- Do not use while charging. Always disconnect the shaver from the charger before use.
- Clean the shaver regularly to maintain hygiene and performance. Refer to the "Maintenance" section for detailed cleaning instructions.
- Handle blades carefully to avoid cuts or skin irritation. The blades are sharp.
- This product is not intended to diagnose, cure, mitigate, treat, or prevent any disease.
3. Setup
3.1 Initial Charge
Before first use, fully charge the shaver. Connect the AC recharger to the shaver's charging port and plug it into a power outlet (AC 100-240V). The 10-stage LCD indicator will show the battery status. A full charge typically takes about 1 hour and provides approximately 42 minutes of shaving time. Disconnect the charger once fully charged.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Shaving (Wet/Dry)
The ES8103S shaver can be used for both wet and dry shaving. For a dry shave, ensure your face is clean and dry. For a wet shave, you may use shaving foam, gel, or soap lather. The flexible pivoting head adapts to the contours of your face, chin, neck, and jaw for a close shave.
- Ensure the shaver is charged and disconnected from the power source.
- Press the power button to turn on the shaver.
- Gently move the shaver across your skin, applying light pressure. Shave against the direction of hair growth for best results.
- The flexible head will pivot to maintain contact with your skin. You can lock the head in a rigid position using the lock switch on the side for specific areas if preferred.
- After shaving, turn off the shaver.

4.2 Using the Pop-up Trimmer
The built-in pop-up trimmer is ideal for detailing mustaches, beards, and sideburns.
- Slide the trimmer switch upwards to engage the pop-up trimmer.
- Turn on the shaver.
- Use the trimmer to shape and define your facial hair.
- After use, slide the trimmer switch downwards to retract the trimmer.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Shaver
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and hygiene.
- After each use, turn off the shaver and remove the outer foil.
- Rinse the outer foil and inner blades under warm running water to remove hair stubble and residue.
- For a deeper clean, activate the sonic cleaning mode: With the shaver running under water, press and hold the power button until the sonic cleaning indicator appears. This mode creates high-frequency vibrations to dislodge debris.
- Shake off excess water and allow the shaver components to air dry completely before reassembling.

5.2 Blade and Foil Replacement
To maintain the best shaving performance, replace the blades and foils when they become dull.
- Outer Foil: Replace approximately once a year. (Part No: WES9087PC)
- Inner Blades: Replace approximately every two years. (Part No: WES9068PC)

6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your shaver, refer to the following common solutions:
- Shaver not turning on: Ensure the shaver is fully charged. Check the charging connection.
- Poor shaving performance:
- Clean the blades and foils thoroughly.
- Consider replacing the outer foil and/or inner blades if they are dull (refer to Section 5.2).
- Ensure the shaver is fully charged, as performance may decrease with low battery.
- Skin irritation:
- Ensure blades and foils are clean and not dull.
- Apply light pressure during shaving.
- Try wet shaving with foam or gel for increased comfort.
