Important Safety Instructions

  • This appliance is designed for shaving facial hair. Do not use it for any other purpose.

Setup

Battery Installation

  1. Ensure the power switch is in the "OFF" (0) position.
  2. Remove the battery cover by sliding it downwards or twisting it off, depending on the design.
  3. Insert two new AA alkaline batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery cover securely.

Note: Batteries are not included with the shaver. Use only AA alkaline batteries.

Operating Instructions

General Shaving Tips

  • For best results, shave before washing your face.
  • Hold the shaver at a right angle to your skin.
  • Stretch your skin taut with your free hand and move the shaver slowly over your face in the direction of your beard growth.
  • Avoid pressing too hard, as this can cause irritation and reduce shaving efficiency.

Wet/Dry Shaving

The Panasonic ES3831K is designed for both wet and dry shaving. You can use it dry for a quick shave or with shaving foam or gel in the shower for a more comfortable experience.

  • Dry Shaving: Simply turn the shaver ON and begin shaving.
  • Wet Shaving: Apply shaving foam or gel to your face. Turn the shaver ON and shave as usual. Rinse the shaver head under water during and after shaving to prevent clogging.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Shaver

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and hygiene.

  1. Ensure the shaver is turned OFF.
  2. Remove the outer foil frame.
  3. Rinse the outer foil and inner blades thoroughly under warm running water. You can also add a drop of liquid hand soap and turn the shaver on for a few seconds to create lather, then rinse.
  4. Use the provided cleaning brush to remove any stubborn hair clippings from the inner blades and shaver body. Do not use the brush on the outer foil, as it can damage it.
  5. Shake off excess water and allow the parts to air dry completely before reassembling.
  6. Reattach the outer foil frame securely.

Blade and Foil Replacement

For optimal shaving performance, it is recommended to replace the outer foil and inner blades approximately every one to two years, depending on usage.
