4. Setup

4.1. Charging the Headset

Before using your headset for the first time, fully charge the battery.

  1. Connect the travel adapter to the charging port on the headset.
  2. Plug the travel adapter into a power outlet.
  3. The indicator light will show the charging status. Refer to the LED indicator section for details.
  4. Once fully charged, disconnect the travel adapter.

Note: You can use the headset while it is charging.

4.2. Pairing with a Bluetooth Device

To use the headset, you must first pair it with your Bluetooth-enabled phone or device.

  1. Ensure the headset is turned off.
  2. Press and hold the Multi-function button until the indicator light flashes blue and red alternately. This indicates pairing mode.
  3. On your phone, enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
  4. Select "WEP301" from the list of found devices.
  5. If prompted for a passcode, enter "0000" (four zeros).
  6. Once paired, the indicator light will flash blue periodically.

Note: Pairing procedures may vary slightly depending on your phone model.

4.3. Wearing the Headset

The WEP 301 can be worn with or without the ear hook. Choose the ear piece cover that provides the most comfortable and secure fit.

  • With Ear Hook: Attach the removable ear hook to the headset. Gently place the headset on your ear, adjusting the ear hook for comfort and stability.
  • Without Ear Hook: Select an ear piece cover that fits snugly in your ear canal. Insert the headset into your ear.

5. Operating the Headset

5.1. Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Multi-function button until the indicator light flashes blue.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Multi-function button until the indicator light flashes red and then turns off.

5.2. Making and Receiving Calls

  • Answering a Call: When a call comes in, press the Multi-function button once.
  • Ending a Call: During a call, press the Multi-function button once.
  • Rejecting a Call: When a call comes in, press and hold the Multi-function button for approximately 2 seconds.
  • Making a Call: Dial the number on your phone. The call will automatically transfer to the headset if it is connected.
  • Voice Dialing: (If supported by your phone) Briefly press the Multi-function button. Speak the name of the contact when prompted.
  • Last Number Redial: Double-press the Multi-function button.

5.3. Volume Control

Use the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons on the headset to adjust the call volume.

  • Increase Volume: Press the Volume Up (+) button.
  • Decrease Volume: Press the Volume Down (-) button.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning

  • Wipe the headset with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Remove ear piece covers periodically and clean them with a damp cloth, then allow to dry completely before reattaching.

6.2. Storage

  • Store the headset in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid storing the headset with metallic objects to prevent damage.

7. Troubleshooting
