2. Setup: Setting Your Combination

Your Kryptonite combination padlock is factory preset to open at 0-0-0. Follow these steps to set your personal combination:

1. Ensure the padlock is open. If it is currently locked, rotate the dials to 0-0-0 and pull up the shackle.
2. With the shackle in the open position, rotate it 90 degrees (a quarter turn) counter-clockwise.
3. Press the shackle down firmly into the lock body. Hold it in this depressed position.
4. While holding the shackle down, rotate the dials to set your desired three-digit combination. Ensure the numbers are aligned precisely with the indicator line.
5. Release the shackle.
6. Rotate the shackle back to its original open position (90 degrees clockwise).
