Setup and Charging
- Initial Charge: Before first use, fully charge the wine opener for approximately 8-10 hours. Place the wine opener onto the charging base. Ensure the charging adapter is plugged into a standard electrical outlet. The indicator light on the base will illuminate to confirm charging.
- Foil Cutter Storage: The removable foil cutter is stored conveniently in the charging base. To access, gently pull it out from its slot.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid keeping the unit continuously plugged in and charging after every use. Allow the battery to discharge periodically before recharging.
Operating Instructions
Using the Foil Cutter
- Remove the foil cutter from the charging base.
- Place the foil cutter on top of the wine bottle, gripping the neck firmly.
- Squeeze the foil cutter and rotate it around the bottle neck to cut and remove the foil seal.
- Return the foil cutter to its storage slot in the charging base after use.
Opening a Wine Bottle
- Ensure the wine opener is fully charged.
- Remove the foil seal from the wine bottle using the included foil cutter.
- Place the wine opener vertically on top of the wine bottle, ensuring the corkscrew is centered over the cork.
- Hold the bottle firmly with one hand and the wine opener with the other.
- Press and hold the DOWN button (bottom arrow). The corkscrew will rotate, penetrate the cork, and automatically pull it out of the bottle. The opener will stop once the cork is fully removed.
- Lift the wine opener away from the bottle.
- To release the cork from the opener, press and hold the UP button (top arrow). The corkscrew will rotate in the opposite direction, releasing the cork.
The Waring WO50 is designed to remove up to 80 corks on a single full charge, including both natural and synthetic corks.
Maintenance and Cleaning
- Cleaning the Opener: Wipe the exterior of the wine opener and charging base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the unit or base in water.
- Corkscrew Cleaning: If cork particles accumulate around the corkscrew, use a small brush or cloth to gently remove them. Ensure the unit is unplugged from the charging base before cleaning the corkscrew.
- Storage: Store the wine opener on its charging base in a cool, dry place when not in use.
