Setup and Installation
Proper installation of the clipper blade is crucial for optimal performance and safety. Follow these steps carefully:
- Ensure the clipper is unplugged and turned off.
- Move the blade adjustment lever to the full forward position.
- Remove the existing blade by unscrewing the two screws holding it in place.
- Position the small top blade over the clipper drive finger.
- Place the large bottom blade on top of the small top blade.
- Replace the screws and partially tighten them.
- Align the blades: The extreme left-hand tooth of the top blade must be on the first small tooth of the bottom blade. The top blade should be 1/32" to 1/16" back and parallel to the points of the bottom blade teeth.
- Once aligned, fully tighten the screws.
- Plug the clipper in, turn the switch on and off a couple of times, then check the alignment of the blades again.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your clipper blades.
- Oiling: Apply a few drops of clipper oil to the blades before and after each use. This lubricates the blades, reduces friction, and prevents rust.
- Cleaning: After each use, brush off any loose hair from the blades. For thorough cleaning, use a blade disinfectant and cleaner.
- Storage: Store the clipper and blades in a clean, dry place.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your clipper blade, consider the following:
- Poor Cutting Performance: Ensure blades are clean and properly oiled. Check for correct blade alignment as described in the Setup section. Dull blades may require replacement.
- Snagging or Pulling Hair: This often indicates improper blade alignment or dull blades. Re-align the blades or consider replacement.
- Overheating Blades: Insufficient oiling can cause friction and heat. Apply more oil. If the issue persists, the motor may be overworked or the blades are excessively dull.
- Unusual Noise: Check for loose screws on the blade assembly. Ensure the blade drive finger is correctly seated.
