5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Cooking Rice
- Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. One cup of uncooked rice typically yields 2-3 cups of cooked rice.
- Rinse Rice: Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch.
- Add Water: Place the rinsed rice into the inner pot. Add the appropriate amount of water. A common ratio is 1 cup of rice to 1.5-2 cups of water, but this can vary based on rice type and desired consistency. The inner pot may have water level markings for guidance.
- Place Inner Pot: Place the inner pot into the main unit, ensuring it sits correctly.
- Close Lid: Close the lid securely.
- Start Cooking: Plug in the rice cooker. Press the cooking lever down to the "KOCHEN" (Cook) position. The indicator light will illuminate.

After cooking, the rice cooker automatically switches to the "WARM HALTEN" (Keep Warm) function. This feature maintains the temperature of your food without overcooking. Do not keep food in the warm function for extended periods (e.g., more than 12 hours) to maintain food quality and safety.

- Storage: Store the rice cooker in a dry place when not in use.
