5. Operation and Adjustment

The V820 closer allows for easy adjustment of closing speed and features a seasonal latching option.

5.1. Adjusting Closing Speed

To adjust the closing speed, locate the screw at the end of the pneumatic tube. Turning the screw clockwise will decrease the closing speed (slower), and turning it counter-clockwise will increase the closing speed (faster). Make small adjustments and test the door's closing action until desired speed is achieved.

5.2. Seasonal Latching Adjustment

The closer includes a two-hold end plug for seasonal latching adjustment. This feature allows you to switch between a glass or screen insert, optimizing the closer's performance for different door configurations throughout the year.

5.3. Hold-Open Function

To hold the door open, fully extend the closer arm and insert the provided pin into the designated hole on the closer rod. To release, remove the pin and allow the door to close.

6. Care and Maintenance

The Wright Products V820 Pneumatic Closer is factory lubricated and designed for long-lasting performance with minimal maintenance.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the closer unit periodically with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and grime. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Inspection: Regularly check all mounting screws and brackets to ensure they remain tight and secure. Tighten any loose screws immediately.
  • Lubrication: The closer is factory lubricated and generally does not require additional lubrication. If operation becomes stiff, consult the manufacturer's support.
