Adjusting Delay Parameters: Use the LEVEL, F.BACK, and D.TIME knobs to fine-tune your desired delay sound.
Delay Modes
The MODE/TEMPO knob allows selection of 11 distinct delay modes:
- Delay: Standard digital delay.
- Tape: Emulates the warm, modulated sound of analog tape echo.
- Reverse: Plays the delayed signal backward.
- Hold: Loops a short phrase (up to 2 seconds).
- Pan: Creates a stereo panning delay effect.
- Modulate: Adds modulation to the delay repeats.
- Echo: Classic echo effect.
- Slap: Short, single repeat delay for a "slapback" effect.
- Ping Pong: Alternates delay repeats between left and right channels in stereo.
- Analog: Simulates the decay characteristics of analog delays.
- Gate: A gated delay effect.
Tap Tempo Function
To use the tap tempo feature, hold down the footswitch for approximately 2 seconds until the LED flashes. Then, tap the footswitch two or more times at your desired tempo. The delay time will synchronize with your taps.

Maintenance
The Behringer DD600 requires minimal maintenance.
- Cleaning: Clean the pedal with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the 9V battery when the blue LED dims or fails to illuminate, indicating low power.
- Storage: If storing the pedal for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent leakage. Store in a cool, dry place.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No sound or weak sound. | Incorrect connections, dead battery, faulty cable, or incorrect settings. | Check all cable connections. Replace the 9V battery or use a power adapter. Test with different cables. Ensure LEVEL knob is not at minimum. |
| Effect not engaging. | Footswitch not pressed, power issue. | Press the footswitch firmly. Check power supply (battery or adapter). |
| Unwanted noise or hum. | Ground loop, faulty power supply, or interference. | Use a regulated power supply. Try a different power outlet. Ensure all cables are in good condition. Isolate the pedal from other noisy equipment. |
| Delay time not changing. | D.TIME knob not adjusted, or in a mode that overrides manual time setting. | Rotate the D.TIME knob. Check the selected MODE. If using tap tempo, ensure it's disengaged or re-tap. |
