The Intermatic T104R3 features a prominent yellow timing dial with markings for AM/PM hours. Two adjustable trippers (ON and OFF) are used to program the desired operation schedule. Below the dial, a manual override lever allows for temporary control of the connected load, bypassing the programmed schedule. 4. Setup

4.1. Installation

  1. Power Disconnection: Before beginning any installation, ensure the main power supply to the circuit is completely turned off at the breaker panel. Verify with a voltage tester.
  2. Mounting: Securely mount the time switch enclosure to a suitable surface using appropriate hardware.
  3. Wiring: Connect the electrical wiring to the designated terminals. Refer to the wiring diagram provided inside the enclosure or in the full product manual for specific connections. Ensure only copper conductors are used.
  4. Safety Guard: After all wiring is complete and secure, reinstall the safety guard over the terminals.
  5. Power Restoration: Once installation is complete and verified, restore power at the main panel.

4.2. Initial Time Setting

  1. Rotate Dial: Grasp the outer edge of the yellow timing dial.
  2. Set Current Time: Rotate the dial clockwise until the current time of day aligns with the stationary time pointer (usually located at the top of the dial). Ensure to differentiate between AM and PM hours.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Setting ON/OFF Operations

The T104R3 uses ON and OFF trippers to program the schedule. Each tripper represents a specific time for the connected load to turn ON or OFF.

  1. Attach Trippers: Slide the ON tripper (typically silver) onto the outer edge of the yellow dial at the desired ON time. Slide the OFF tripper (typically gold) onto the dial at the desired OFF time.
  2. Secure Trippers: Ensure the trippers are firmly seated on the dial.
  3. Multiple Operations: The time switch supports up to 12 ON/OFF operations per day. Additional trippers can be purchased separately if more than one ON/OFF cycle is required.
  4. Minimum Time: The minimum ON or OFF time for any operation is 1 hour.

5.2. Manual Override

The manual override lever, located below the timing dial, allows you to temporarily control the connected load independently of the programmed schedule.
