3. Operating the DDM4000
3.1 Channel Control
Each of the 4 stereo channels features a 3-band digital EQ with up to 12 dB of boost and an infinite cut ("kill") option. The PFL (Pre-Fader Listen) switch above each fader allows for direct monitoring via headphones.
3.2 Crossfader Functionality
The DDM4000's crossfader is highly versatile. It can be assigned to any of channels 1-4 and includes a 3-band EQ kill button on either side. The curve sensitivity of the crossfader is adjustable to suit different mixing styles. The crossfader is also replaceable for extended product life.
3.3 BPM-Synced Sampler
The integrated BPM-synced sampler allows you to record and loop segments of incoming audio seamlessly. This feature enables DJs to transition between tracks smoothly by looping a segment while preparing the next track.
3.4 Dual FX Section
The mixer boasts a dual FX section with patented BPM counting technology. This allows for the application of BPM-synchronized effects such as echo, bitcrusher, reverb, delay, and pitch shift. Effects can be assigned independently to multiple channels.
3.5 MIDI Control
The DDM4000 can function as a full-featured MIDI controller. Channel faders, EQ knobs, and button presses can be configured to send customized MIDI data, allowing integration with various DJ software and other MIDI-compatible devices.
