Video: How to Install Kichler Chandeliers and Pendants. This video provides a general guide for chandelier installation.

  1. Disconnect Power: Before starting, ensure the power is turned off at the main circuit breaker. Use a voltage tester to confirm no power is present at the outlet box.
  2. Remove Old Fixture: Carefully remove any existing light fixture from the ceiling.
  3. Verify Wiring: Confirm the wires coming from the ceiling are black (hot) and white (neutral). If colors differ, consult a certified electrician.
  4. Attach Mounting Bracket: Secure the new mounting bracket to the junction box on your ceiling using the provided screws.
  5. Attach Fixture to Bracket: Connect the chandelier's chain or rod to the mounting bracket.
  6. Thread Wires: Carefully thread the fixture wires up through the mounting box.
  7. Determine Hanging Height: Adjust the chain length to achieve the desired hanging height. Consider the fixture's placement (e.g., over a table or in an open space).
  8. Connect Ground Wire: Connect the bare copper ground wire from the fixture to the ground wire from the ceiling and to the green ground screw on the mounting bracket. Secure with a wire nut.
  9. Connect Supply Wires: Connect the white (neutral) wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) supply wire from the ceiling. Connect the black (hot) wire from the fixture to the black (hot) supply wire from the ceiling. Secure both connections with wire nuts.
  10. Tuck Wires: Carefully tuck all connected wires into the junction box, ensuring they are not pinched.
  11. Raise and Secure Canopy: Raise the canopy to the ceiling, covering the junction box and wiring. Secure it with the included mounting hardware (e.g., screw collar or decorative nuts).
  12. Install Shades and Bulbs: Carefully secure the glass shades onto the fixture. Install five E26 base light bulbs (up to 100W equivalent, not included) into the sockets.
  13. Restore Power: Turn the electricity back on at the main circuit breaker.
  14. Test Fixture: Turn on the light switch to ensure your new Kichler Wynberg Chandelier is functioning correctly.

5. Operating Instructions

This chandelier operates via a standard wall switch. Ensure appropriate E26 base bulbs are installed. The fixture is designed for incandescent light sources, 120 Volts, with a maximum of 100W per bulb.

Bulb Replacement:

  1. Turn off power at the wall switch and the main circuit breaker.
  2. Allow bulbs to cool completely before touching.
  3. Carefully remove the glass shade by unscrewing it.
  4. Unscrew the old bulb and replace it with a new E26 base bulb (max 100W equivalent).
  5. Reattach the glass shade.
  6. Restore power at the circuit breaker and turn on the wall switch.

6. Maintenance

To maintain the appearance and functionality of your Kichler Wynberg Chandelier, follow these cleaning instructions:

  • Always turn off the electric current before cleaning the fixture.
  • Clean metal components with a soft cloth moistened with a mild liquid soap solution.
  • Wipe clean and buff with a very soft dry cloth to restore shine.

  • Light does not turn on:
    • Check if the power is on at the circuit breaker.
    • Ensure the wall switch is in the "ON" position.
    • Verify that light bulbs are securely screwed in and are not burnt out.
    • Confirm all wire connections are secure (refer to installation steps, ensuring power is off).
  • Flickering lights:
    • Check for loose bulb connections.
    • Ensure the correct wattage bulbs are used.
    • Inspect wire connections for looseness (power off).
