Maintenance
Cleaning
- Daily Cleaning: After each use, drain any remaining water from the reservoir by removing the drain plug. Wipe the interior with a soft cloth and mild detergent, then rinse thoroughly.
- Monthly Cleaning: For a more thorough cleaning, prepare a solution of water and vinegar (10:1 ratio) or a commercial ice maker cleaner.
- Pour the cleaning solution into the water reservoir.
- Run the ice maker for a few cycles (without consuming the ice).
- Drain the solution completely.
- Rinse the reservoir multiple times with fresh water, running a few cycles with clean water to remove any residual cleaner.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Storage
When storing the ice maker for an extended period, ensure it is completely drained and dry. Store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep the lid slightly ajar to prevent mold and mildew growth.
Troubleshooting
