Introduction

The Philips SA3025/37 GoGear Flash Video and Audio MP3 player offers 2GB of memory for your digital music and videos. Enjoy MP3 and WMA sound, along with FM Radio. The device features an easy, intuitive music experience with simple drag 'n drop functionality for fast downloads from your PC via USB 2.0. Watch videos on the go with its 1.5-inch color screen. An equalizer is included for optimized sound to suit your music style. You can also make voice recordings and preset up to 20 FM radio stations. The built-in rechargeable battery provides up to 12 hours of audio playback and 2 hours of video playback. Video files are supported in 128x128 pixels resolution. The Philips Media Converter is provided for video file and photo conversion.

What's in the Box

Setup

1. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge your Philips SA30 MP3 player. Connect the supplied USB cable to the device's USB port and the other end to a powered USB port on your computer or a USB wall adapter (not included). The battery indicator on the screen will show charging progress. A full charge provides up to 12 hours of audio playback or 2 hours of video playback.

2. Loading Music and Videos

Connect the MP3 player to your computer using the USB cable. The device will appear as a removable disk drive. Simply drag and drop your MP3 and WMA audio files, or 128x128 pixel resolution video files, into the appropriate folders on the device. Ensure video files are converted to the supported resolution using the Philips Media Converter software if necessary. Note that copyright-protected (DRM) WMA tracks purchased from online music stores are not supported.

3. Connecting Headphones

Plug the included earphones into the 3.5mm headphone jack on the device. For optimal audio experience, you may use your preferred high-quality headphones.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

To power on the device, press and hold the power button located on the side until the Philips logo appears on the screen. To power off, press and hold the power button until the device shuts down.

2. Navigation

Use the directional buttons (up, down, left, right) and the center 'OK' button to navigate through menus and select options on the 1.5-inch color screen. The 'Back' button (usually an arrow icon) will take you to the previous menu.

Access the 'Voice Recorder' function from the main menu. Follow the on-screen prompts to start, pause, and save your voice recordings.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as they may damage the screen or casing.

2. Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures. Charge the battery regularly, even if the device is not in frequent use, to prevent deep discharge.

3. Software Updates

Periodically check the Philips support website for any available firmware updates for your SA30 MP3 player. Updates can improve performance and add new features.
