5. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for effective carpet and upholstery cleaning.
5.1 Carpet Cleaning
- Plug In: Plug the cleaner into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Power On: Turn on the machine using the power switch.
- Select Mode: On the handle, select either 'Wash' for applying solution and scrubbing, or 'Rinse' for applying clean water only. The 'Wash' setting engages the SpinScrub brushes and dispenses cleaning solution.
- Cleaning Passes:
- For washing, push the cleaner forward slowly while pressing the trigger to dispense solution. Release the trigger and pull the cleaner backward slowly over the same area to extract dirty water.
- Overlap each pass slightly to ensure even cleaning.
- For rinsing, switch to the 'Rinse' setting and repeat the forward and backward passes without solution, using only clean water to remove detergent residue.
- Empty Dirty Water: When the dirty water tank is full or the clean water tank is empty, turn off and unplug the machine. Remove and empty the dirty water tank. Rinse it thoroughly before replacing.
- Refill Clean Water: Refill the clean water tank and solution as needed.
- Drying: Allow the carpet to dry completely before walking on it. The Heated Cleaning feature helps reduce drying time.
