- Place your cookware centrally on the pan support over the desired burner.
- Push down the corresponding control knob and turn it counter-clockwise to the maximum flame setting (large flame symbol).
- Hold the knob down for a few seconds to allow the flame failure device to activate. You should hear a clicking sound as the igniter sparks.
- Once the flame is lit, release the knob. If the flame goes out, repeat the process, holding the knob down for a slightly longer period.
