6. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your scanner, regular maintenance is recommended:

  • Cleaning the Scanner Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the scanner with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using strong detergents or abrasive cleaners.
  • Dust Removal: Periodically use a can of compressed air to remove dust from the scanner's ventilation slots.
  • Software Updates: Check the Epson support website regularly for updated drivers and software to ensure compatibility and access to the latest features.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your scanner, try the following steps:

  • Scanner Not Detected: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the scanner and the computer. Verify the power adapter is properly connected and the scanner is turned on. Try connecting to a different USB port.
  • Scanning Issues (Poor Quality, Lines): Clean the scanner glass thoroughly. Ensure the document or film is placed correctly on the platen or in the film holder. Check scanning software settings for appropriate resolution and image enhancements.
  • Software Errors: Restart your computer and the scanner. Reinstall the scanner software if errors persist. Ensure your operating system is up to date.
