This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Panasonic DECT 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Answering System, model KX-TG9341T. This system features DECT 6.0 technology for enhanced sound quality and range, an all-digital answering machine, Talking Caller ID, and the ability to expand with up to six handsets.

Setup
1. Unpacking and Component Check
Verify that all components are present in the package:
- Base Unit (KX-TG9341T)
- Cordless Handset
- AC Power Adapter
- Telephone Line Cord
- Rechargeable AAA Batteries (2 included)
- Belt Clip (optional accessory)
2. Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the cordless handset.
- Insert the two supplied AAA rechargeable batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and -).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
- Place the handset on the base unit to charge for at least 7 hours before initial use. The charge indicator on the handset will illuminate.
3. Connecting the Base Unit
- Connect the AC power adapter to the DC IN jack on the base unit, then plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
- Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the LINE jack on the base unit.
- Connect the other end of the telephone line cord to a single-line telephone wall jack.
- Ensure all connections are secure.
4. Handset Registration (for additional handsets)
Your system can be expanded with up to 6 handsets. To register an additional handset:
- Place the unregistered handset on the base unit.
- On the base unit, press and hold the LOCATOR/INTERCOM button for approximately 5 seconds until the registration tone sounds.
- On the handset, press the OK button (or follow on-screen prompts) to begin registration.
- Once registered, the handset will display its assigned number (e.g., Handset 2).
Operating Instructions
1. Basic Call Functions
- Making a Call: Dial the phone number using the keypad, then press the TALK button on the handset or the SPHONE button on the base unit.
- Answering a Call: When the phone rings, press the TALK button on the handset or the SPHONE button on the base unit.
- Ending a Call: Press the OFF button on the handset or place the handset back on the base unit. On the base unit, press the SPHONE button again.
- Speakerphone: During a call, press the SPHONE button on the handset or base unit to activate the speakerphone. Press again to return to the earpiece.
- Redial: Press the REDIAL button to view the last 5 dialed numbers. Select a number and press TALK to call.
- Hold: During a call, press the HOLD button to put the call on hold. Press TALK again to resume.
2. Answering System
The KX-TG9341T features an all-digital answering machine.
- Playing Messages: Press the PLAY/STOP button on the base unit or access the answering system menu on the handset.
- Recording Greeting: Access the answering system menu to record your personalized outgoing message.
- Talking Caller ID: When a call comes in, the base unit and handset will announce the caller's name or number if it is stored in your phonebook or provided by your caller ID service.
- Talking Alarm Clock/Battery Alert: The system can announce alarm times and low battery alerts verbally.
3. Phonebook
The system includes a 50-station shared phonebook.
- Adding Entries: Navigate to the phonebook menu on the handset, select 'Add New Entry', and enter the name and number.
- Searching Entries: Use the navigation buttons to scroll through entries or enter the first letter of the name.
- Dialing from Phonebook: Select the desired entry and press TALK.
4. Call Block and Night Mode
- Call Block: Add unwanted numbers to a block list to prevent them from ringing your phone. Access this feature through the handset menu.
- Night Mode: Set specific time periods during which the phone will not ring, allowing for undisturbed sleep. Calls will still be recorded by the answering machine.
5. Intercom
If you have multiple handsets, you can use the intercom feature to communicate between them.
- Press the INTERCOM button on the handset or base unit, then select the desired handset to call.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Wipe the phone's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
2. Battery Care
- Use only the specified rechargeable AAA batteries.
- If the handset will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
- Battery life may decrease over time. Replace batteries when performance significantly degrades.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your phone system, try the following solutions:
