Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the appearance of your Casio watch.
Cleaning
- Wipe the watch with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture.
- For resin bands, you can use a mild soap solution and a soft brush, then rinse thoroughly with water and dry completely.
- Avoid using chemical cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the watch's materials.
Water Resistance
Your watch is water-resistant to 50 meters (165 feet). This means it is suitable for everyday use, showering, and swimming in shallow water. However, it is not suitable for diving or snorkeling. Do not operate buttons while the watch is wet or submerged.
Battery Replacement
The watch is powered by one LR44 battery, designed for approximately 10 years of operation. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it is time to replace the battery. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your watch, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Display is blank or dim: The battery may be low or depleted. Replace the battery.
- Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a special mode that locks buttons. If wet, dry the watch thoroughly. If the issue persists, a reset may be required (refer to advanced manual or contact support).
- Time is incorrect: Re-set the time and date as per the "Setting the Time and Date" section. Ensure 12/24-hour format is set correctly.
- Alarm does not sound: Ensure the alarm is activated in Alarm Mode. Check volume settings if applicable (this model does not have volume control, but a general tip).
