4.1. Pitching Machine Setup

  1. Unpack all components of the pitching machine.
  2. Assemble the steel tripod stand according to the diagrams provided in the packaging. Ensure all connections are secure.
  3. Mount the main pitching machine unit onto the assembled tripod stand. Secure it firmly using the provided bolts and knobs.
  4. Attach the ball feeder mechanism to the top of the pitching machine. Ensure it is correctly aligned to drop balls into the pitching wheel.
  5. Place the assembled pitching machine on a flat, stable surface where it will be used.
  6. Connect the power cord to the machine and ensure it is ready to be plugged into a standard 110V A/C outlet. Do not plug in yet.

  1. Choose a clear, level outdoor area for the batting cage installation. The cage dimensions are 24 feet wide, 12 feet deep, and 12 feet high.
  2. Lay out the steel and fiberglass frame poles according to the assembly diagram.
  3. Connect the frame poles to form the arched structure of the cage. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
  4. Drape the 1-inch polyethylene nylon netting over the assembled frame. Ensure the netting is evenly distributed and covers the entire frame.
  5. Secure the netting to the frame using the provided ties or clips.
  6. Use the ground stakes to firmly anchor the batting cage frame to the ground. This is crucial for stability and safety, especially in windy conditions.
  7. Position the pitching machine inside the batting cage, utilizing the built-in pitching machine harness if available, to ensure proper alignment and safety.

5.1. Pitching Machine Operation

  1. Ensure the pitching machine is securely positioned within the batting cage.
  2. Plug the power cord into a standard 110V A/C outlet.
  3. Load up to 12 real baseballs into the ball feeder.
  4. Turn on the pitching machine. Allow the pitching wheel to reach full speed before feeding balls. The machine features variable speed control, allowing adjustment of pitch speed up to 45 mph.
  5. Adjust the pitch height knob as needed to achieve the desired trajectory.
  6. The automatic feeder will deliver one ball approximately every 10 seconds.
  7. When finished, turn off the pitching machine and unplug it from the power source.
