Installation Instructions
Professional installation is recommended. If you are not comfortable with electrical work, please consult a qualified electrician.
- Prepare for Installation: Turn off power at the main circuit breaker or fuse box to avoid electrical shock. Ensure the power is off before proceeding.
- Mount the Backplate: Secure the fixture's backplate to the wall junction box using the provided mounting screws. Ensure the backplate is flush against the wall and stable.
- Make Electrical Connections:
- Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (hot) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
- Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
- Connect the ground wire (bare copper or green) from the fixture to the ground wire from the junction box (or to the green ground screw on the mounting plate) using a wire nut.
- Carefully tuck all wires into the junction box.
- Attach the Fixture Body: Align the fixture body with the mounting screws on the backplate and secure it with the decorative ball caps or nuts provided. Ensure the fixture is firmly attached to the wall.
- Install the Bulb: Insert one (1) medium base (E26) incandescent bulb, up to a maximum of 100 watts (not included), into the socket. Do not exceed the recommended wattage.
- Install Glass Panes: Carefully place the pale cream seeded glass panes into the fixture frame according to the design. Ensure they are securely seated.
- Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the main circuit breaker or fuse box.
- Test Operation: Turn on the light switch to verify the fixture is working correctly.
Operating Instructions
The Savoy House Monte Grande Outdoor Wall Lantern operates via a standard wall switch. If connected to a compatible dimmer switch, the light output can be adjusted. This fixture is designed to be dimmable when used with dimmable incandescent bulbs and a suitable dimmer switch.
- Turning On/Off: Use the wall switch connected to the fixture to turn the light on or off.
- Dimming (Optional): If a dimmer switch is installed, rotate or slide the dimmer control to adjust the brightness level of the light.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: To clean the fixture, ensure power is off. Wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or polishes as they may damage the finish or glass.
- Bulb Replacement: Ensure power is off before replacing the bulb. Allow the bulb to cool completely. Unscrew the old bulb and replace it with a new medium base (E26) incandescent bulb, not exceeding 100 watts.
- Glass Care: Handle glass panes with care. Clean with a mild glass cleaner and a soft cloth.
- Periodic Inspection: Periodically check all electrical connections and mounting hardware for tightness and signs of wear or damage.

Warranty Information
When properly installed and under normal conditions of use, all Savoy House lighting products, other than ceiling fans, are warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of sale by a Savoy House lighting distributor. Proof of purchase, such as a dated store receipt or invoice evidencing the date of product sale to the end user, must be provided.
This warranty is limited to the correction of any such defect, or the replacement of any such defective item, at the sole discretion of Savoy House Lighting, provided that:
- Savoy House is properly notified in writing and consents to the return of the item(s) in question.
- The item(s) is/are returned with proof of purchase date.
- It is found upon return and inspection by Savoy House that the item(s) is/are defective as noted above.
Products may be returned only after a return authorization has been issued. This warranty does not cover labor costs, consequential damages, damages incurred in shipment by the delivering carrier, nor does it apply to any item(s) that have been improperly installed, overloaded, altered, or otherwise abused by the customer, its agent(s), or employee(s). Any invoices for labor charges and/or charge backs for parts and labor will be denied unless prior written approval is secured from Savoy House Lighting customer service.
Following installation, fixture finishes and glass finishes are specifically excluded from the terms of this warranty since they are subject to environmental and maintenance damages beyond our control. Other than the described obligation, Savoy House assumes no further liability with respect to the sale or use of its products. Savoy House makes no warranty, express or implied, and disclaims any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Savoy House Lighting ceiling fans are excluded from this warranty as they have a separate warranty which is available upon request.
