Setup and First Use
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Clean: Wash the inner pot, glass lid, steam tray, rice measuring cup, and serving spatula in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- Placement: Place the rice cooker on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface.
- Insert Inner Pot: Ensure the inner pot is dry on the outside before placing it into the main unit.
Operating Instructions
Cooking Rice
- Measure Rice: Use the provided rice measuring cup to measure the desired amount of uncooked rice.
- Rinse Rice: Rinse the rice in a separate bowl until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch.
- Add Rice to Inner Pot: Place the rinsed rice into the removable inner pot.
- Add Water: Fill the inner pot with water to the corresponding line for the number of rice cups used. For example, if cooking 2 cups of uncooked rice, fill water to the "2" line.
- Place Inner Pot: Ensure the exterior of the inner pot is clean and dry, then place it into the main unit.
- Secure Lid: Place the glass lid securely on the rice cooker.
- Plug In: Plug the power cord into a 120V AC wall outlet.
- Start Cooking: Press the COOK switch down. The "COOK" indicator light will illuminate.
- Automatic Keep-Warm: Once cooking is complete, the rice cooker will automatically switch to the "WARM" setting, and the "WARM" indicator light will illuminate.
- Serve: Use the provided serving spatula to fluff and serve the rice.

Steaming Food
The steam tray allows you to steam vegetables, fish, or other foods while your rice cooks below.
- Prepare rice as instructed in the "Cooking Rice" section (Steps 1-5).
- Place the desired food into the steam tray.
- Place the steam tray onto the inner pot.
- Secure the glass lid and press the COOK switch down.
- Monitor the food being steamed. Once cooked to your preference, carefully remove the steam tray using oven mitts.
- Allow the rice to continue cooking until the cooker automatically switches to "WARM".

Cleaning

Troubleshooting

- Rice is too hard/dry: Ensure the correct water-to-rice ratio was used. Rinse rice thoroughly before cooking. Do not lift the lid during cooking.
