Setup and Combination Setting

Follow these steps to set up your LogiLink NBS002 security lock and configure your personal combination code.

1. Setting Your Combination Code

1. The lock is preset to 0-0-0.
2. Locate the small reset button or screw on the side of the lock mechanism. (Refer to image below for typical location).
3. Using a pen or a small pointed object, press and hold the reset button/screw.
4. While holding the reset button, rotate the dials to your desired 3-digit combination. Choose a memorable but secure code.
5. Release the reset button. Your new combination is now set.
6. Important: Write down your combination and store it in a safe place. Without the correct combination, the lock cannot be opened.

2. Attaching the Lock to Your Laptop

1. Ensure your laptop has a standard security slot (Kensington lock slot), usually found on the side or back edge.
2. Enter your combination code (the preset 0-0-0 or your newly set code) to unlock the mechanism.
3. Insert the lock head into the security slot on your laptop.
4. Rotate the lock head 90 degrees to secure it within the slot.
5. Scramble the dials to lock the device.

Operating the Security Lock
