Product Overview

The SentrySafe X105 Security Safe is designed to provide reliable protection for your valuables and electronics. It features solid steel construction, a digital keypad lock, and two live-locking bolts for enhanced security. The interior is lined to prevent scratches to delicate items.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

The SentrySafe X105 requires four high-quality, alkaline AA batteries for the digital keypad. Ensure batteries have an expiration date of 8-10 years from the current year for optimal performance. Generic and rechargeable batteries may not provide sufficient lifespan.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door.
  2. Insert four AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Setting Your Personal Combination

It is crucial to set your own personal combination immediately after battery installation. The factory default code is for initial testing only and should be changed for security.

  1. With the safe door open, press the 'Program' button located inside the safe door.
  2. Enter your desired 1-8 digit personal combination on the keypad.
  3. Press the 'Program' button again to confirm.
  4. Test your new combination with the door open to ensure it works correctly before closing the safe.

3. Securing the Safe (Bolt Down Kit)

For added security, the SentrySafe X105 includes a bolt-down kit to anchor the safe to a floor or wall. This prevents unauthorized removal of the safe.

  1. Choose a suitable location for the safe, ensuring it is stable and secure.
  2. Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes in the bottom or back of the safe.
  3. Drill pilot holes into the mounting surface according to the recommended drill bit size in the full user manual.
  4. Position the safe over the holes and secure it using the provided bolts and washers.

Operating the Safe

Opening with Digital Keypad

  1. Enter your 1-8 digit personal combination on the digital keypad.
  2. The green light will illuminate, indicating the correct code has been entered.
  3. Within 5 seconds, turn the handle clockwise to open the safe door.

Closing and Locking the Safe

  1. Close the safe door firmly.
  2. Turn the handle counter-clockwise to engage the locking bolts.
  3. The safe is now securely locked.

Using the Override Key

In case of forgotten combination, dead batteries, or electronic malfunction, the safe can be opened using the provided override key.

  1. Insert the override key into the keyhole located on the digital keypad panel.
  2. Turn the key clockwise.
  3. While holding the key in the turned position, turn the handle clockwise to open the safe door.
  4. Once open, remove the key.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

Replace batteries annually or when the keypad lights dim or fail to respond. Always use new, high-quality alkaline AA batteries.

  1. Open the safe door.
  2. Locate the battery compartment.
  3. Remove old batteries and dispose of them properly.
  4. Insert new AA alkaline batteries, observing correct polarity.
  5. Test the keypad functionality.
