5. Operating Instructions
Compatible Cookware
Only use cookware made of ferromagnetic material (e.g., cast iron, enameled iron, stainless steel with a magnetic bottom) with a flat base. Test compatibility by holding a magnet to the bottom of the pot; if it sticks, the pot is suitable for induction cooking. Cookware diameter should be between 12 cm and 26 cm.
Basic Operation
- Place induction-compatible cookware centrally on the desired cooking zone.
- Press the Power button (I) to turn on the cooktop. The display will show 'ON'.
- Select the cooking zone you wish to use (Left or Right).
- Adjust the power level using the '+' and '-' buttons. There are 8 power levels. The display will show the selected level.
- To turn off a cooking zone, press its power button again or reduce the power level to '0'.
- To turn off the entire cooktop, press the main Power button (I).
Timer Function
The timer can be set for each cooking zone independently:
- With a cooking zone active, press the Timer button (clock icon).
- Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired cooking time (5-99 minutes).
- The timer will start counting down. Once the time expires, the cooking zone will automatically switch off, and an audible signal will sound.
Child Lock
To activate the child lock, press and hold the Lock button (padlock icon) for a few seconds. The display will indicate that the child lock is active. All controls will be disabled. To deactivate, press and hold the Lock button again.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Steba IK 200, refer to the following table:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Cooktop does not turn on. | No power supply; power cord not properly connected. | Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check circuit breaker. |
| Cooking zone not heating. | Non-compatible cookware; pot not centered; pot too small/large. | Use induction-compatible cookware. Ensure the pot is centered and within the recommended size range (12-26 cm). |
| Display shows an error code (e.g., E0, E1, E2). | Overheating; internal malfunction; sensor issue. | Turn off the cooktop and unplug it. Allow it to cool down for at least 10 minutes. Plug it back in and try again. If the error persists, contact customer support. |
| Unusual noise during operation. | Normal fan operation; cookware vibration. | The cooling fan operates during and after cooking, which is normal. Some cookware may produce a slight humming or buzzing sound due to induction technology; this is also normal. |
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact Steba customer support.
