The Toastmaster 2-Slice Toaster (Model t100) is designed for efficient and consistent toasting of various bread types. It features wide, self-adjusting bread slots and an electronic timer for uniform results. The toaster is equipped with an auto hi-lift function for easy food removal and a patented auto safety shut-off for enhanced safety.

Key components include:

  • Wide Toasting Slots
  • Browning Control Dial (1-6 settings)
  • Toast Lever / Auto Hi-lift
  • Hinged Crumb Tray

Setup

  1. Unpacking:

Carefully remove the toaster from its packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed. Remove any protective films or packing materials from the toaster body and slots.

  2. Placement:

Place the toaster on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials such as curtains or walls. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the toaster.

  3. First Use (Seasoning):

Before first use, operate the toaster without bread for a few cycles at the highest setting (6) to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal and will dissipate. Ensure the area is well-ventilated during this process.

  4. Power Connection:

Plug the power cord into a standard 57 Volt (AC) electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet matches the toaster's voltage requirements.

Operating Instructions

  1. Insert Bread:

Place one slice of bread, bagel, or pastry into each toasting slot. The wide slots accommodate various bread thicknesses.

  2. Select Browning Level:

Turn the browning control dial to your desired setting. Settings range from 1 (lightest) to 6 (darkest). Start with a medium setting (e.g., 3 or 4) and adjust according to preference.

  3. Start Toasting:

Press the toast lever down until it latches. The toaster will begin the toasting cycle. The lever will automatically pop up when the toasting cycle is complete.

  4. Remove Toast:

Once the toast pops up, the auto hi-lift feature raises the toast for easy and safe removal. Use caution as toast and the toaster interior will be hot.

  5. Canceling Toasting:

To stop the toasting cycle at any time, simply lift the toast lever upwards. This will immediately raise the toast and turn off the heating elements.

Note: The compensating electronic timer adjusts for consistent toasting results across multiple cycles.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster.

  1. Unplug and Cool:

Always unplug the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

  2. Empty Crumb Tray:

Locate the hinged crumb tray at the bottom of the toaster. Open the tray and slide it out to remove accumulated crumbs. Dispose of crumbs and wipe the tray clean with a damp cloth. Ensure the tray is completely dry before reinserting and closing it.

  3. Exterior Cleaning:

Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the white finish. For stubborn spots, a mild detergent can be used, followed by wiping with a clean, damp cloth.

  4. Interior Cleaning:

Never insert utensils or fingers into the toasting slots. If food becomes lodged, unplug the toaster and carefully turn it upside down to dislodge the item. Do not attempt to clean the interior heating elements.

Caution: Never immerse the toaster, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
