Operating Instructions

The ROMMELSBACHER Domino EBC 3075/E features two cooking zones controlled by ergonomic rotary knobs.

Control Panel Overview

  • Rotary Knobs: Two knobs control the temperature for each cooking zone (left and right). They offer continuous temperature adjustment.
  • Control Light: Illuminates when a cooking zone is active.
  • Residual Heat Indicators: Two indicators (one for each zone) light up when the respective cooking zone is still hot after being switched off.

Using the Cooking Zones

  1. Place a suitable pot or pan on the desired cooking zone. Ensure the base of the cookware covers the cooking zone adequately.
  2. Turn the corresponding rotary knob clockwise to the desired heat setting. The control light will illuminate.
  3. The hob features an automatic boil function. Turning the knob to the maximum setting will quickly bring contents to a boil, then automatically reduce to a lower, sustained heat.
  4. Adjust the heat setting as needed during cooking. The continuous temperature control allows for precise heat management.
  5. After cooking, turn the rotary knob counter-clockwise to the '0' position to switch off the cooking zone. The control light will extinguish.
  6. Observe the residual heat indicator. It will remain lit until the cooking zone has cooled down to a safe temperature. Do not touch the surface while the indicator is lit.

Safety Features

  • Overheat Protection: The hob is equipped with an overheat protection system that automatically switches off a cooking zone if it becomes excessively hot, preventing damage to the appliance.
  • Residual Heat Indicators: These indicators warn you when the cooking surface is still hot, reducing the risk of burns.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your hob and ensure its optimal performance.

General Cleaning

  • Always ensure the hob is switched off and completely cool before cleaning. The residual heat indicators must be off.
  • For light soiling, wipe the glass-ceramic surface with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild dish soap.
  • For stubborn stains or burnt-on food, use a specialized ceramic hob cleaner and a non-abrasive sponge or scraper designed for glass-ceramic surfaces. Follow the cleaner's instructions.
  • Wipe the stainless steel frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could scratch the surface.
  • Dry all surfaces thoroughly after cleaning to prevent water spots.

Important Cleaning Notes

  • Do not use harsh chemicals, oven sprays, or abrasive cleaning agents, as these can damage the glass-ceramic surface and stainless steel frame.
  • Avoid using sharp objects or metal scourers on the hob surface.
  • Spills, especially sugary liquids, should be cleaned immediately after the hob has cooled down to prevent permanent damage to the glass-ceramic.
