Setup

Mounting Instructions

The unit is designed for under-cabinet mounting.

1. Choose a suitable location under a cabinet, ensuring sufficient clearance for the CD tray and controls.
2. Use the provided mounting template to mark screw locations on the underside of the cabinet.
3. Drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
4. Attach the mounting spacers to the unit if needed, then align the unit with the pilot holes.
5. Secure the unit using the provided mounting screws. Do not overtighten.

Power Connection

Plug the AC power cord into the AC IN jack on the unit and then into a standard wall outlet.

Antenna Connection

For optimal FM reception, connect the supplied FM wire antenna to the FM ANT jack on the unit. Extend the wire fully for best results.

Battery Backup Installation

For clock and memory backup during power outages, install 2 x AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located on the bottom of the unit. Observe polarity markings.

Operating Instructions

Basic Controls

Familiarize yourself with the buttons and display on the front panel and remote control.

Power On/Off

Press the POWER button to turn the unit on or off.

Setting the Clock

1. In standby mode, press and hold the CLOCK SET button.
2. Use the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to adjust the time.
3. Press CLOCK SET again to confirm.

Radio Operation

1. Press the FUNCTION button to select FM or AM mode.
2. Use the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons to manually tune to a station.
3. Press and hold TUNE + or TUNE - to auto-scan for the next available station.
4. Adjust volume using the VOLUME + or VOLUME - buttons.

CD Player Operation

1. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the CD tray.
2. Place a CD (CD, CD-R, CD-RW) with the label side facing up into the tray.
3. Press OPEN/CLOSE again to close the tray.
4. The unit will automatically begin playing the CD.
5. Use PLAY/PAUSE to pause or resume playback.
6. Use SKIP + or SKIP - to skip tracks.
7. Use SEARCH + or SEARCH - (press and hold SKIP buttons) to fast forward or rewind within a track.
8. Press STOP to stop playback.

Kitchen Timer

1. Press the TIMER SET button.
2. Use the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set the desired countdown time.
3. Press TIMER SET again to start the timer.
4. An alarm will sound when the timer reaches zero. Press any button to stop the alarm.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

CD Care

Handle CDs by their edges. Keep them clean and free of scratches. Store them in their cases when not in use.

Storage

If storing the unit for an extended period, remove the backup batteries to prevent leakage.
