Important Safety Information

  • DANGER: Never touch the blade while the appliance is in operation or plugged in. The blade is extremely sharp.

  • Keep hands and utensils away from the moving blade during operation. Use the food pusher to guide food.

  • Ensure the slicer is placed on a stable, dry, and level surface. The suction cup feet must be securely attached to prevent movement.
  • This appliance is for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not immerse the motor base in water or other liquids.

The adjustable thickness control knob enables users to select slice thickness ranging from very thin for deli meats to over 1/2 inch for thicker cuts.

Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack the Slicer: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the slicer for any damage. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the slicer on a clean, dry, stable, and level countertop. Ensure the suction cup feet are firmly pressed down to secure the unit.
  3. Blade Installation (if removed): Ensure the slicer is unplugged. Align the blade with the motor shaft and secure it according to the instructions provided in the blade removal section. Ensure it is tightly fastened.
  4. Clean Before First Use: Wipe down all parts that will come into contact with food using a damp cloth and mild detergent. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Refer to the Cleaning and Maintenance section for detailed instructions.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded 120V, 60Hz electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

  1. Prepare Food: Ensure food items are chilled for optimal slicing. Trim any bones or hard rinds.
  2. Adjust Thickness: Turn the thickness control knob to your desired slice thickness. Start with a thicker setting and adjust as needed.
  3. Load Food: Place the food item onto the food carriage. Use the food pusher to secure the food against the back plate and the carriage.
  4. Power On: Turn the power switch to the 'ON' position. The blade will begin to rotate.
  5. Slicing: Gently push the food carriage forward and backward, guiding the food into the rotating blade with the food pusher. Apply even pressure for consistent slices.
  6. Collect Slices: Place a tray or plate beneath the blade to collect the sliced food.
  7. Power Off: Once slicing is complete, turn the power switch to the 'OFF' position and unplug the appliance.
  8. Cool Down Period: Remember not to operate the slicer for more than 15 minutes continuously. Allow 30-60 minutes for the motor to cool down between extended uses.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures hygiene and extends the life of your slicer. Always unplug the unit before cleaning.

  1. Unplug and Disassemble: Ensure the slicer is unplugged. Remove the food pusher and food carriage.
  2. Blade Removal: Carefully remove the 9-inch stainless steel blade. Locate the blade locking mechanism (often a central knob or screw) and turn it counter-clockwise to loosen. Use extreme caution when handling the blade.
  3. Hand Wash Components: Hand wash the blade, food pusher, and food carriage with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately to prevent rust. Do not wash in a dishwasher.
  4. Clean Main Unit: Wipe down the motor base and other non-removable parts with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Ensure no water enters the motor housing.
  5. Tilt-Out Tray: The smooth gliding, large capacity, stainless steel food tray tilts out for easy access to clean behind the blade area.
  6. Reassemble: Once all parts are dry, carefully reattach the blade, food carriage, and food pusher. Ensure the blade is securely fastened.
  7. Storage: Store the slicer in a clean, dry place.

Troubleshooting
