2.2 Power Supply
The TU300 can be powered by a 9V battery or an optional DC power supply (not included). To install or replace the 9V battery:
- Locate the battery compartment on the pedal.
- Open the compartment cover.
- Connect a 9V battery to the battery clip.
- Place the battery inside the compartment and close the cover securely.
Alternatively, connect a 9V DC power supply (center negative) to the DC input jack on the pedal.
2.3 Connecting the Pedal
Connect your instrument to the "IN" jack of the TU300 using a standard 1/4-inch instrument cable. Connect the "OUT" jack to your amplifier or the next pedal in your signal chain. The "BYPASS" jack provides a constant signal output, regardless of the tuner's active state, useful for reference tuning without muting your main signal.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Tuning Modes
The TU300 offers multiple tuning modes to suit various instruments and preferences:
- Chromatic Mode: Tunes all 12 chromatic notes.
- Guitar Mode: Standard tuning for guitar (E, A, D, G, B, E).
- Guitar Flat/Double Flat: Allows for tuning the guitar down by one or two semitones.
- Bass Mode: Standard tuning for bass (E, A, D, G).
- Bass Flat/Double Flat: Allows for tuning the bass down by one or two semitones.
To select a mode, use the "MODE" button on the pedal. The selected mode will be indicated on the display.
3.2 Tuning Process
To begin tuning, simply step on the footswitch to activate the tuner. The display will show the detected note, and the 11-point stream meter will guide you to the correct pitch. The center green LED indicates perfect pitch, while red LEDs to the left or right indicate flat or sharp notes, respectively.
For silent tuning, ensure your main signal is routed through the "OUT" jack and the tuner is activated. This will mute the signal to your amplifier while you tune.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
Clean the pedal regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or internal components.
4.2 Storage
When not in use for extended periods, remove the battery to prevent leakage and store the pedal in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
5. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power/LEDs not lighting up. | Dead battery or power supply issue. | Replace 9V battery or check DC power supply connection and functionality. |
| Inaccurate tuning. | Incorrect tuning mode selected or noisy signal. | Ensure the correct tuning mode (Chromatic, Guitar, Bass) is selected. Check instrument cables for damage. |
| No sound from amplifier when tuner is active. | Tuner is in mute mode (expected behavior for silent tuning). | This is normal for silent tuning. If you require constant signal, use the BYPASS output. |
