3. Setup

1. Prepare the Work Area: Ensure your work area is well-ventilated, free from flammable materials, and stable.
2. Insert Gas Cartridge:
   • Ensure the flame adjustment knob is in the "OFF" position.
   • Unscrew the metallic cover from the gas cartridge housing.
   • Carefully insert a new Campingaz C 206 single-use gas cartridge into the housing. Ensure it is seated correctly.
   • Screw the metallic cover back on firmly until hand-tight. Do not overtighten.
   • Check for any gas leaks by listening for a hissing sound or using a leak detection spray. If a leak is detected, tighten the connection or replace the cartridge if damaged.
3. Initial Check: Before ignition, ensure all connections are secure and the device appears undamaged.

4. Operating Instructions

1. Ignition:
   • Slowly turn the flame adjustment knob counter-clockwise to allow a small amount of gas to flow.
   • Press the piezo-electric ignition button repeatedly until the flame ignites.
   • If the flame does not ignite after a few attempts, turn the gas off, wait a few seconds, and try again.
2. Flame Adjustment:
   • Once ignited, adjust the flame intensity by rotating the flame adjustment knob. Turn clockwise to decrease and counter-clockwise to increase the flame.
   • The typical operating flame temperature is approximately 1750 °C.
3. Inverted Use:
   • For inverted use (operating the torch upside down), allow the device to preheat for at least 1 minute in an upright position after ignition. This ensures proper vaporization of the gas.
   • After preheating, the torch can be used in any orientation.
4. Shutting Down:
   • Turn the flame adjustment knob fully clockwise until the flame extinguishes and the gas flow stops.
   • Allow the device to cool completely before handling or storing.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Keep the burner and gas connections clean and free from debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning the exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: When not in use, ensure the gas cartridge is removed (if storing for extended periods) and store the soldering lamp in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
• Inspection: Regularly inspect the device for any signs of wear, damage, or gas leaks. Do not use if damaged.
• Cartridge Replacement: Replace gas cartridges only when empty and in a well-ventilated area, following the setup instructions.
