- Clean discs with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping gently from the center outwards.
- Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners, or anti-static sprays intended for vinyl records.
- Store discs in their cases away from direct sunlight and heat.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your BDP-S300, refer to the following common solutions:
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Player is slow to boot up or load discs. | This is a characteristic of some Blu-ray players, especially with BD-J (Java-intensive) discs. Ensure your firmware is updated to the latest version, as updates often improve loading times. |
| Disc playback freezes or skips. | Check the disc for scratches or smudges and clean if necessary. Ensure the player's firmware is up to date. If the issue persists, try a different disc to determine if the problem is with the player or the disc. |
| No picture on TV. | Verify that the HDMI or video cables are securely connected to both the player and the TV. Ensure your TV is set to the correct input source (e.g., HDMI 1, Video 1). |
| No sound. | Check audio cable connections. Ensure your TV or AV receiver is not muted and the volume is turned up. Verify the correct audio input is selected on your AV receiver. |
| Remote control not working. | Check the batteries in the remote control and replace them if necessary. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the player's IR sensor. |
