5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Control Panel Overview
The control panel allows you to select programs, adjust settings, and control the baking process.

- MENU: Press to cycle through the 12 available programs.
- ZEIT (Time): Adjusts the delay timer for delayed baking.
- STUFE (Level/Size): Selects the loaf size (750g or 1.2 kg).
- BRÄUNUNG (Browning): Selects the crust browning level (HELL - Light, MITTEL - Medium, DUNKEL - Dark).
- LICHT (Light): Activates the internal light to view the baking process.
- PAUSE: Temporarily stops the program. Press again to resume.
- START/STOP: Starts or stops the selected program. Press and hold for a few seconds to cancel a program.
5.2 Bread Making Process
- Add Ingredients: Open the lid and add ingredients to the baking pan in the order specified by your recipe (typically liquids first, then dry ingredients, with yeast added last, separate from liquids and salt). Ensure the kneading blade is properly installed.
- Select Program: Press the MENU button repeatedly until the desired program number is displayed. The Unold 68415 offers 12 programs, including:

- Select Loaf Size: Press the STUFE button to choose between 750g and 1.2 kg loaf sizes.
- Select Browning Level: Press the BRÄUNUNG button to select Light (HELL), Medium (MITTEL), or Dark (DUNKEL) crust.
- Start Baking: Press the START/STOP button to begin the program. The display will show the remaining time.
- Monitoring (Optional): Use the LICHT button to turn on the internal light and observe the baking process through the viewing window.

- End of Program: The bread maker will beep when the program is complete. Press and hold the START/STOP button to stop the machine.
- Remove Bread: Carefully open the lid. Using oven mitts, remove the baking pan by turning it counter-clockwise and lifting it out. Invert the pan to release the bread onto a wire rack. If the kneading blade remains in the bread, use the provided removal tool to extract it.
- Cooling: Allow the bread to cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
5.3 Special Functions
- Delay Timer: Use the ZEIT button to set a delay for when you want the bread to be ready. Do not use the delay timer with recipes containing highly perishable ingredients like milk or eggs.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
