3. Setup
Unpacking
- Carefully remove the stapler and all accessories from the packaging.

4. Operation
Stapling Modes
The EH-70F offers two stapling modes: Automatic and Manual.

Loading Paper

Adjusting Throat Depth
The stapler's throat depth can be adjusted to control how far from the edge of the paper the staple is placed.
- Locate the throat depth adjustment lever, typically on the side or front of the stapler.
- Slide the lever to increase or decrease the throat depth. The range is from 1/8" to 3/4".
- Test the adjustment with a scrap piece of paper before stapling important documents.
5. Staple Cartridge Installation/Replacement
The Max EH-70F uses a high-capacity 5,000-staple cartridge (Max No. 70FE).
- Disconnect Power: Always unplug the stapler from the power outlet before opening the case cap.
- Open Case Cap: Lift the top case cap of the stapler.
- Remove Old Cartridge: If replacing, carefully pull out the empty staple cartridge.
- Insert New Cartridge: Take a new Max No. 70FE staple cartridge. Ensure it is oriented correctly (refer to markings on the cartridge and stapler). Slide the cartridge firmly into the designated slot until it clicks into place.
- Close Case Cap: Lower the top case cap until it securely latches.
- Reconnect Power: Plug the stapler back into the power outlet.
