Setup Instructions
Follow these steps for proper pool setup:
- Site Selection: Choose a solid, level location for your pool. Clear the area of any sharp objects or debris. An uneven surface can cause the pool to fill improperly and may lead to structural issues.
- Ground Cloth (if included): If your pool set includes a ground cloth, spread it out over your selected location. Ensure the ground cloth is smooth and free of wrinkles.
- Unfold the Pool: Carefully unfold the pool liner and spread it out over the ground cloth. Position it so it is centered on the ground cloth.
- Inflate Top Ring: Locate the inflation valve on the top ring of the pool. Use an air pump (not included with all models, but highly recommended) to inflate the top ring until it is firm but not over-inflated.
- Secure Drain Valve: Ensure the drain valve on the bottom of the pool is securely fastened before filling.
- Install Filter Pump Connections:
- From inside the pool, insert the strainer into the pool valve and connect the nut securely.
- Connect the filter pump hoses to the inlet and outlet valves on the pool. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
- Position the filter pump on a stable, level surface near the pool. Ensure it can be plugged directly into a power outlet. Warning: Do not use extension cords with the filter pump, as this poses a fire hazard.

- Fill with Water: Begin filling the pool with water. As the water level rises, the inflated top ring will float, and the pool walls will rise.
- Once there is a small amount of water (about 1-2 inches) in the pool, get inside and smooth out any wrinkles from the center outwards. This is crucial for proper filling and stability.
- Continue filling until the water reaches the recommended fill line, typically just below the inflated top ring.
Operating the Filter Pump
The included filter pump is essential for keeping your pool water clean and clear. Refer to the separate filter pump manual for detailed operating instructions.
- Power Connection: Plug the filter pump directly into a grounded electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords.
- Run Time: Operate the filter pump for several hours each day to ensure proper water circulation and filtration. The exact duration depends on pool size and usage.
- Water Treatment: Filter pumps alone do not sanitize water. Consult a local pool retailer for information on appropriate water treatment chemicals (e.g., chlorine) to maintain water quality and prevent algae growth.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and hygiene of your pool.
- Filter Cartridge Cleaning/Replacement: The filter cartridge inside the pump should be regularly cleaned and replaced. Refer to the filter pump manual for specific instructions and frequency.
- Water Chemistry: Regularly test and adjust pool water chemistry (pH, chlorine levels) according to manufacturer recommendations and local guidelines.
- Cleaning: Use a pool skimmer to remove debris from the water surface. A pool vacuum (sold separately) can be used to clean the bottom of the pool.
- Repairing Leaks: If the pool liner develops a small puncture, use the provided repair patch kit. Clean the area, apply the patch, and smooth out any air bubbles. This can often be done even with water in the pool.

Draining and Storage
At the end of the swimming season, properly drain and store your pool to ensure its longevity.
- Draining: Locate the drain valve on the pool. Attach a garden hose to the provided adapter and place the other end in a suitable drain area. Unscrew the drain valve cover and screw the adapter into the valve to release the water.
- Cleaning and Drying: Once drained, thoroughly clean and dry the pool liner and all components. Ensure no moisture remains to prevent mold or mildew.
- Storage: Store the pool and its accessories in a warm, dry place, protected from extreme temperatures and pests.
Troubleshooting
Common issues and their solutions:
- Air Leak in Top Ring: If the top ring is losing air, locate the leak using soapy water. Use the provided repair patch to seal the puncture.
- Uneven Water Level: This usually indicates the ground is not perfectly level. Ensure the pool is set up on a completely flat surface. Minor adjustments can sometimes be made by carefully shifting the pool when it contains only a few inches of water.
- Cloudy Water: Check filter pump operation and clean/replace the filter cartridge. Test water chemistry and adjust as needed. Shock treatment may be required.
